A New Book
I have decided that after writing so many chapters, it's time for a new book.
I've been blogging now since 2011 starting with "Life is But a Stage" and my last blog "The Back 40". I didn't expect my own "back 40" to be quite so 'interesting' and so I felt the need to create something new. I hope you enjoy it.
There are a few things that you should know however about this new blog.
(a) Unless I specifically name you or tell you that this blog is about you; it's not about you. My blogs are inevitably all about me.
If you do not believe (a) and think that my blog is about you then I encourage you NOT to read it.
(b) Although everything that I say is 100% true (unless I say it isn't), there IS some embellishing that goes on. Yes, yes, this is true. If all I wrote about was my mundane life in a mundane way then no one would read it. So...instead of telling you about the jack ass that cut me off in traffic today while I was driving to work...I'm going to tell you how the jack ass reminded me of someone I dated once and how the act of cutting me off in traffic actually reminded me how he cut me off in life. Of course, this is an example but writing is an art and I promise you that I will never just say some jack ass cut me off in traffic and leave it at that.
(c) I am not looking for your approval. I am not asking you to agree with me. Unless I specifically ask then rest assured I'm not looking for your advice or opinion. Expressing your opinion on my blog is more than welcomed; in fact I encourage it as long as you're ready to read everyone's opinion and take it at face value. Everyone has experienced life differently, and everyone is entitled to an opinion.
I've been told by people who read my blog that I'm brave for sharing all that is so personal; I don't really see it that way. I've always been a story teller, for as long as I can remember. There is nothing in my life that I feel ashamed enough to hide and I am respectful enough not to share personal things that may involve family or friends (unless I've asked them).
Although many believe I'm a crazy extrovert, I see myself as quite introverted and writing is the way I communicate best with the world.
Hope you enjoy this new book.. I can only promise you one thing and that is that I'm as authentic as they come.
Always,
Heather
